lock cylinder
Hey whts up i jus did mine last week., there should be 2 little wires coming out the steering coulum than it plugs in too an orange wire writ next to the air bag wire, unplug it cut 4 inches back than take your old key an solder to the reistor on you key.
Sorry about the diagram size, but it is necessarily large for clarity:

Check item #20. There is a 5-6" pigtail on the lock cylinder with a connector that mates to a connector in the upper bowl of the steering column. Fish through the turn/hazard signal switch wiring and you should find the connector. The new lock cylinder should have the pigtail and connector as well, so if you cut the wires close to the lock cylinder, you should be O.K.
BTW - Them's pricey little thangs, ain't they?
