V6 2030 Camshaft ticking

Hi, I had a crane 2030 cam & lifters put in about 10 months ago. I also had comp cams magnum roller rockers 1.52 on also. I was charged a tad bit more than 700 dollars labor, and guess what the car was slower and there was this awful ticking noise after the cam was put in. I'm getting the whole thing looked at by a different mechanic, because the guy who did it before insisted he did every thing right. I called crane, and the guy at crane said the rocker arms are not tightened enough. When I got the cam put in the first mechanic said he was questioning his tightening of the rockers when I asked him about the ticking he said he followed the directions, yeah right! The tech guy said the knock sensor is picking up the loud ticking and delaying my timing. That is why the car is slower and when I'm on the highway the car revs, and has delayed acceleration, but has terrible acceleration. I'm just looking for your opinions on this. This all makes sense right. Please give me your thoughts I'm not getting it fixed until I get the car out of storage in May anyways, but this really bugs me. Thanks in advance.
