Is your power steering hose giving you problems too?
Is your power steering hose giving you problems too?
I have a 91 fb 305tbi. My power steering hose, the one with the sensor for the ac, keeps forming leaks where the metal and the rubber meet. I really have to contort the hose to make it fit right. Anyone else have this problem, and/or a solution. Thanks
Hulk,
If you have trouble getting a replacement hose to fit properly, consider making your own. Any good industrial supplier should have the hose and fittings you need, along with standpipes, swivels, etc. Select a hose that has a working pressure of 1,500 or more and is rated for hot oils. I've done this for oil coolers, transmission lines, and steering hoses with no problems. A custom steering hose is usually good for about twenty bucks.
