Price of IROC??? PLEASE HELP!!
Hey,
I found a 89 red IROC for sale and the guy wants $3200 for it. It needs a paint job.....someone painted over the IROC/factory paint. The interior looks great (through the windows) It either has 67,000 miles.....or 167,000. I'm going to have a mechanic check it out tomorrow. If everything is running well. What's a fair price w/ 67,000 miles??? 167,000????

what engine does it have? if its a 350, jump on it. however, for that price, i seriously doubt it is. it its a TPI 305, i would still go for it provoding the engine is in good shape and it has the 67,000 miles. L03, pass. personally, never got into TBI, but its ultimately up to you and your opinion.

I talked to the owner.....it has 167,000 miles on it.....::sniffs:: that is bad, right??? I'm going to have a mechanic check it out tomorrow......but being an IROC, I'm guessing it's been driven pretty hard......what's a fair price?? I'll have to replace the t-top bar......and it needs a paint job. Everything else looks really good.......the engine looks really clean for that many miles....maybe new wires. Stock radio......really clean interior w/ every power option....(seats, windows, locks, rear window defogger) What do you guys think?? Can a mechanic tell if it's a reliable car or not???? How long do the engines last??? (how many miles) I really need help on this........even if it sounds like something I should know........tell me......because I may not.....or I may need to be reminded. Thanks guys

Are you sure that the engine hasnt been washed? I would probably pas on this one tho. I just bought a 87 IROC, fully loaded(seats windows, locks, 6 speaker system, mirrors, 350, 105,000 miles, good paint) for $3500.

to much pass that up i got my car for 2k with 95k miles on it...easy miles to i know the people who had it. anways its not an iroc or anything but the paint is very good, perfect body, new tires, good interior except for a ripped driver seat...you can find a nice one just keep looking
