All right, here's the deal. My car bogs out on me a lot, almost to the point where it can't be driven. So i go and check my fuel pressure. low and behold, its at 28-30 psi on idle. when i hit the gas, the pressure drops almost to 10. So, i go and try my Holley afpr, and the problem still exists, after i turned it up all the way. The really funny thing is, it was running perfect up until i put fuel injector cleaner in the tank. Then she craps on me.
I thought about it for a while, and i'm thinking it's 2 things:
-the in-line needs replacement (i doubt very much with 78,000 mi. car)
-or the strainer on the pump is screwing up or doesn't flow as good (since i used to have a tbi, i changed the pump from the original 7 psi to 47 psi pump, but kept the original strainer)
Does all this sound likely? Oh, forgot, I DID CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER TOO, SO IT'S NOT THE FUEL FILTER!
Please help guys, this is getting very frustrating!!

funny thing. each time i put fuel injection cleaner in my car, i ended up replacing the fuel pump. so, it sounds like fuel pump dying out now. probably from minute particles passing through the strainer and locking up the pump.Originally posted by TPortFormula

yeah, i replaced the filter just two days ago, which is about a week this garbage started. its happened before and i replaced the filter, but it didn't work. when it happened before, i switched my afpr back to stock ( cause it first started with my afpr), and it worked again. then it happens again, so i replace it with a new stock unit (big waste) and it still didn't work, so then, i replaced the fairly new filter. i don't think its the pump, because i hear it prime and run, and from what i've heard, the pump either works or it doesn't, no in-betweens. the strange thing is, when the engine is cold and for the first few minutes of driving, it works perfectly, so, i don't get it.
