going carb few questions bout ditrubuters..

hey everyone.. i sold my 350 tpi motor the other day and picked up a 406 short block that i am putting together.. my question is since i am going carb my old dist. wouldnt work and i have msd 6al box and blaster 3 coil.. now that i am going carb i know most use a HEi type dist. that has a coil in it.. how can i get around that so i can use my own coil and box thanks.. i am new to the carb seen some what and if anyone has a dist. part number that would be great.. i am not sure if i can use one of the gm short style distrubutors or not.. one that looks like a normal one but one that i can use my remote coil with.. if anyone has a part number or soemthing that would be great thanks

Hey man nice short-block.....gimme it

You can get an external-coil conversion kit. Try summit.

Actually.......MSD-8401 $$24.95 at summit. That is what you need they call it a HEI DUST COVER.
