help with Hi-temp paint

I made a pipe to bolt onto my cut out and I painted it with Hi-temp paint(black). It said to cook it at 550-600* F for 30 min and not to use a conventional oven. Well I used it a little on the car, but it is not that hot so its not cooking the paint.

What will happen if I use my oven at home? IT only goes to 500, but im sure that is close enough. Does it make all the food taste like paint or something?

Try it and see what happens. If I was going to do it, I would make sure there was good ventilation to keep harmful fumes from building up.

Don't do it in an oven you plan on eating out of. Every type of paint, powdercoating, etc that needs cooked in an oven makes it so you can't ever eat food cooked in it again because of the chemicals in the paint. I'd check that before making your oven unuseable.
