roller cam conversion
roller cam conversion question
Anyone know for sure whether or not the factory late model roller cam components (lifters, spider etc) can be used to convert old style 350 block ( 68 model)? I've heard both that it can and cannot. I've got a factory steel crank, pink rods and a couple of usable old style blocks but don't care to spend a fortune converting to roller. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You cannot use the OEM roller lifters in the older style block.
What i would do is get a retro-fit kit from a reliable manufacturer (Comp, Crane, ect...) It will come with all the stuff you need such as stiffer springs for your heads, cam button, retro-fit lifters, cam, timing chain, ect....
It will also give you peice of mind.
