What are the signs off a bad thermostat or bad waterpump? Before I started my car this morning, I took the radiator cap off and start my car. The coolant inside was moving around. I read earlier that the coolant shouldnt move at all. MY car does run up to 240 on the freeway and I know I dont have a front air dam. I would like to completly replace everything that doest work tomorrow(day off). Any tips welcomed '88 GTA 350

 

See your other post I referred to. As far as the coolant. It shouldn't be moving around when you first start your car, that means the stat is open. The stock stat is I believe 195*, so coolant shouldn't circulate until then, but if it's moving freely your pump is fine.
