Formula,

Your engine was originally equipped with 1.5:1 stamped steel rocker arms made to fir 3/8" studs. These rockers are a self-aligning design, with a shallow groove in the valve tip end to keep the rocker centered over the valve.

Any replacement shouldbe suitable. If you change teh rocker studs to a different size, you will of course have to get a different size rocker. You can choose to install 1.6:1 rockers if you desire, as long as the valve springs will tolerate the additional lift. And any replacement should be of the self-aligning design unless you have removed the studs and machined the heads for push rod guide plates.

With that cam profile, you should replace the studs, and need to replace the springs. The replacement studs should be of the screw-in variety instead of the factory pressed-in studs (which will be "pull-out" studs if you don't replace them). You can do this replacement yourself or pay a machinist to do it, as long as you remove the heads and take them to their shop.

For correct springs, check the supplier of the camshaft, or www.sdp2000.com
