Door linkage broken.
Door linkage broken.
Well, due to my insane need to keep my car spotlessly clean in Canadian sub-zero weather... the linkage for opening the driver door from the inside "popped" for lack of a better word and sound. It sounds as the pin which holds the linkage together popped out. My door was frozen shut with me on the inside, common sense did not prevail and i tried unsuccessfully to open the door from the inside, (breaking the linkage in the door) before that litle birdy sat on my shoulder and reminded me that it would be well worthwhile to zip the window down and open it from the outside.
Is this a simple task? Is it as simple as removing the "SKIN" of the door, finding the pin and replacing it? What else could have broken on the inside?
Finally, the hatch motor tech article is under way, the alberta weather is looking promising it's only -15 right now!
