i used a regular heater hose and it kinked really bad, the one i took off had a pretty good bend in it. like a pre-bent hose.. anyone know??

That's a formed hose. Around $7 at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/
The trick is if it has a part number it's formed. If it was straight it should say "bulk" somewhere instead of a quanity.
