is there a way to use a PC instead of a laptop for diagnstics on my camaro. and if so what software will i need. thanks

 

I tried doing that but i found it very inconvenient bringing all that computer stuff down to the car. The screen is huge and how are you going to test drive the car with all of the power wires being plugged in into the wall in your garage?

Get a free copy of software from DYI PROM board (ask there which one will fit your car) and make yourself a cheap/easy ALDL cable.

You can buy used Laptop for not that much money it will make your life easier

If you have any other questions ask around in the PROM board. The guys there are very helpful.
