how can i tell?
i think i have a bad lifter, i was wanting to know if their is any way i can tell it its bad, before i have to take off the intake, the car makes a ticking sound out of the passenger side that increases with rpms

Lifters almost never just "go bad" by themselves. About 99.99% of the time that a tick is not a rolled cam lobe, it's a rocker, bent pushrod, broken valve springs damper, etc. etc. etc.
Lifters are pretty much in the center of the engine, not very much toward one side.
Take off your valve cover and use a piece of heater hose stuck in your ear as a stethoscope to listen to everything and find the noise.

today i reset my valve lash and it still makes the noise, i know its coming from the lifter area, if it is a stuck lifter is there anything i can do to unstick it, somebody told me to use some marvel mystery oil in the crankcase but please help noise driving crazy!!!
