tach and alt wireing

i just switched a v6,multi port fuil injection to a holly carbed 305. I need to know how to wire up a 2 wire alt. to a 3 wire connection and what wire is the tach wire on my car? It is a 1988 firebird. help please!!!!!!!!

Also, how much would the weight of the v8 affect my suspension?
