WIth my income taxes and a settlement i just got im ready to do some upgrading. My car... 87 TA LG4... my plans... I have a 350 block 4 bolt main. I have the block down to nothing and im going to pitch everything but the crank. withen the next week im going to have the motor bored im pretty sure .30 over and if that doesnt work then whatever it takes... once i get that done im going to bring the motor back home and start ordering some parts. first off pistions... keith black .100 dome (connecting rods... my builder said he had those... ) then im goin to order this kit from jegs its the holly kit. stock numer 510-300-503-1 to me it sounds pretty good. it recomends a 750 carb but im goin to get a edelbrock 670 cfm. then some headmen shorties going into the headmen Y pipe... taking that to 3" into a cat (catco hi flow) and out my 3" dyno max cat back (going to change the muff to hooker areo chamber prob).... well the kit from jegs says 425 horspower with a fresh 4bolt main block and around 10-1 compression.... i hope to be running around 375-400... can any one think of something better for that for around 2 grand???? or does anyone have any thoughts about any of those products.. good or bad!
