Would U buy new heads or the miniram for a iron headed 383 motor?

Hi there,
I have a 383sb motor that with my present mods & stock TPI induction with 19-lbs injectors Im running 13.6 at 98 mph with a 2.50 60ft. The car hits a brick wall at 4500rpm. So i figured if i were to get at least a MR & 24lbs injectors, I would get into the 12s just from the extra rpm. So my question is Heads 195 Air flow research or Mini ram?

2.5 60 foot? You should be doing suspension work, not engine work.

I've turned a 13.54 @ 103mph w/ a 2.0 60'. A 13.6 @ 98mph seems to baffle me? Do you spin the first 60'? If you could knock down that 60' to a 2.0 or less you'll be A LOT closer to 12's. The MR is very expensive. I can't see spending $900 on piece of aluminum that lets air in the engine. On top of that you need to buy a TB and fuel rails. I got a LT1 monifold for 100 and the rails for 90. It will cost 220 to get it modified to fit my car. +60 for a remote t-stat. 80 for custome lines from the rails to the fuel lines.

total = $550 (useing old TB)

MR

900 manifold
350 fuel line (unless u can make your own)

total = $1250

I'd do intake work first since you hit the 4500 rpm barrier. Your injectors are way too small for your engine since stock 305's used the 19 lbs injectors.

Work on your intake and injectors first. Heads are important but won't help you if you choke it or detonate it to death.
