will a factory oil sending unit work with an Autometer gauge?
I have a 91 Camaro oil pressure sending unit and it has two wires for the computer and the third wire is for a factory gauge. I have the electric autometer Ultra lite oil presure gauge and was wondering if that would work with that 91 sending unit. thanks
83,
I don't know for sure, but the gauge should have instructions for a sending unit. My spare Autometer oil pressure gauge is mechanical, but the other spare instruments all have sensor information (resistance range, etc.) or tell what sensors they are designed to work with.

i have the same problem....
i have a 91 rs with stock oil sending unti and a vdo guage. but my question is what should i do with the orange and black wires that are for the ecm and the tan one is for the stock gauge. my vdo guage doesn't work with the stock sending unti so i don't think yours will either, being different voltage and all, but when you do get the sending unti what to do with the wires????
