I have to really slam my rear hatch for it to latch. I have pulled the rear cover off and my locking assembly does not look like it has the power motor pull down assembly that I see out on ebay. It has a connection to the assembly for remote release and that is it. Do all 3rd generations camaros have this power rear latch assembly ?? If not is there a connection sitting there to install one ?? My car is an 85 Z28. Appreciate your help !!

 

I had to slam my down on my 88, but my problem was the plastic guides were shattered. Does it make any sound when you try to shut it, sounds kinda like a fuel pump kickin' on

 

Thanx for the response, but there is no clicking sound, it looks like it is shut, but you can lift the hatch open. I think it is a sticking lock assembly. John
