i got a msd 6a model # 6200 i was wondering if you could help me wire it, he had it laying in his garage, it has 8 wires coming off it, 2 of those wires go to a plug. it also says in summit not to use with solid wires, what wires do i use? thanks for any help

This if for hooking up with the MSD harness PN 8876.

 

Just use stranded copper wiring, if you pick it up at an automotive store or in wal marts automotive dept, that's all you'll be able to get anyway.

 

Uh, when MSD says "not solid wires", they're actually talking about solid core SPARK PLUG wires. That's a race-only type of wire. The spark plug wires we all have are resistor cored. If you don't have one, you'd have noise coming over your radio all the time.
