I have a 1982 firebird S/E with the 305. I've noticed that while driving, when turning the steering wheel to the right I hear a roaring/whining noise coming from the engine compartment. It is weird because it only happens when I turn right. I know that my power steering belt needs to be replaced, but that should cause it to whine should it? Fluid level in the power steering resevoir is constant. Any advice would be helpful.
