Anyone have any suggestions on a type or brand of Power steering pump and hoses? Should I just get one from the local parts store? I was wondering if there are any aftermarket ones that are aluminum and take less horsepower to turn. Mine is leaking pretty badly. I need one that fits a 83 Z-28.

This isn't a water pump. Get a stock one and you'll be just fine.

Yea there really arent any aftermarket ones I know of. It doesnt take very much power to turn and it only weighs about 11 pounds so its not real heavy. The only option really is to remove the power steering all together by getting a manual steering box from an S10.
