took a 91 WS6

had this guy talking smack ALL night about how his ws6 couyld beat my RS, so i finally called him on it. from a 40 punch, with him starting 2 cars ahead, in was pulling on up to 70 when we shut down, then we came to a light and i LIT HIM UP! i was pretty happy, until a ccop started tailing me for the next 3 miles! he finally gave up though

Good. An RS win is cool once in a while.

These are the kind of posts that I like to see! Ones that make me think "Hey maybe I should stop racing kids on scooters and start with cars?" Long live the RS

cody:i would agree with you, but the ws6 had 40,000 less miles on it, and it was also a TPI whereas mine is a TBI. guess all the friggin work i have done finally payed off!

Why is the RS always looked at as a sleeper, any Camaro RS with a V-8 isn't a sleeper.

Its always looked at as a sleeper because they ran mid 16s stock, even with a V-8! I know mine might as well have been a four cylinder diesel before my engine swap

well maybe not that bad- but you understand

I'm gonna have to go w/ Really Slow on this one. With a lot of mods, they may be fast, but my personal experiance switching from an 89 GTA to and 89 RS was like throwing a piano out back as an anchor. When i finished painting my TA and stepped back into it, i realized the true difference. - As far as street racing goes, who here has never nailed the gas coming out of a stop light from time to time?

everyone looks at an RS as a sleeper because, for the most part, its little punks whose parents bought them brand new v6 camaros or mustangs and they think that since 4th gen RSs came with a v6, so did 3rd gens. that why im keeping on my big "rs camaro" banner on my car after i do my engine work in june
