TPI vs. MPFI...

Dont laugh yet, read what I have to say first. My friend has an 88 Formula 5.0 TPI, automatic with 93,000 miles all the mods he has on are just a K&N, and a Dynomax cat back exhaust. I'm getting my 92 3.1 automatic firebird out of storage in early May, I really want to race him, but he wont do it because he thinks he'll lose. I rode in the car and it doesn't seem all that fast, he might be right, he could lose. I am just wondering what you guys think, my mods are in my sig;

Woops, I dont know how to work that sig thing, but here are my mods:
Crane 2030 Cam
Comp Cams 1.52 Roller Rockers
MSD 6A Ignition, w/blaster coil and wires
Accel Cap and rotor
Jet Power Pulleys
Dynomax Cat and Cat-Back Exhaust
Custom CAI w/K&N
Hooker Super Competition Headers
Hypertech Thermo Chip w/160 stat

Plus I have only 51000 Miles on it too.

He should still win hands down... I don't know why he is scared, your car is probably pretty quick for a 3.1, but the 305 TPI isn't something to sneeze at.

Well, I drove in it with him alot and it is a solid running car. He used to be able to break the tires loose no problem, but then he put on some 245/50 goodyear eagle Hp's and now he cannot do it anymore. He had really cheap skinny tires on it before. He is only putting out around 190 Hp, but alot of torque. What does a stock 5.0 auto Tpi run in the quarter anyways? I ran a 16.246 with a the chip, catback exhaust, CAI, ignition and pulleys. Now I have the cam, rockers and the headers so I think I should be in the 15.7 range.
