Beat a punk *****
Okay, this is as I typed it to tell some friends, so I'm just leaving the street names in the story.
I’m on Harlem at the light just after Cal Sag and it turns yellow. I stop cause I see blue headlights behind me. The guy doesn’t pull next to me to race, but a lady in a Nissan does. So to **** rice boy off, I ride even with her down Harlem. He tries to pass me, but I speed up and don’t let him. We both get into the turn lane to turn onto 111th. I turn and let off it so he can get next to me, and he tries to pass me. I had him by a car at 100. Then we get to Southwest Highway and he turns right so I follow. He went first, and doesn’t wait for me. No problem. I step on it and soon catch him and pass him by ½ car. He was in the left lane, I was in the right. Another car was in his lane, so rice boy goes onto the other side of the street to pass him. He must be a hardcore Fast and the Furious fan. At 110 or so, I had him beaten again. He gets into the left turn lane to turn onto Harlem. I have had enough of kicking his ***, so I pull next to him and look over. He mocks me laughing, so here’s how it goes:
Me: A big wing doesn’t make your car fast.
Rice Boy: What you say?
Me: I SAID, A BIG WING DOESN’T MAKE YOUR CAR FAST.
RB: Well neither does a stock Camaro.
Me: Well it just beat you.
RB: Oh yeah ******?
Me: Yeah, it did.
RB: Well at least I didn’t buy my car fast.
Light turns and I leave.

EDIT: Forgot, the car appeared to be some kind of Subaru. It was blue with blue hood LEDs, blue head lights, clear side markers, white sticker kit, big windshield decal, huge wing, and coffee can exhaust.

so what makes him a punk?? sounds to me like you were the one acting like a punk. first you block him in by going slow next to the lady then you make like you're gonna let him pass and then floor it. that kinda stuff would **** me off if I was just cruzing. and you only had him by 1 car @ 100? dosnt sounds like he's that slow for a '*****' he was prolly having a laugh because he kept up with less than 1/2 the displacement. sorry this post gets no respect from me.

Still some funny sh*t though. I hate ricers(and I don't mean imports such as supras, etc.) they get on my nerves. But next time you should have a real race and line up.
if it was a wrx, it had 227 horsepower, turbo engine on an AWD car. not too shabby... i dont necessarily approve of your driving habits but that guy deserved it after a comment like that. that just makes you sit down and wonder at the intelligence of some people, not to mention how they ended up with a car like that in the first place.

hmmmm...
That last statement is stupid. Especially since he probably didn't do his work himself. Yeah, sometimes it bugs me if I work and get a car fast and some rich punk just buys a porsche and doesn't even replace blinkers himself. It gets on my nerves.
But, at the same time, the car you choose is the car you choose. I don't condemn people for getting a car that is slower and I'm definitely not going to condemn a fast car buyer. Not only that, but I can't do all work myself and I wouldn't jump on someone just because they can't do everything I could.
So you have to buy a **** slow piece of garbage and make it faster or buy a good car and just make it guffy. I think I see what they're doing now.
Wait, it was a Subaru? They're okay. Just my opinion though.
And I only agree with boxing someone's car if they do something reckless or stupid or something of that nature.

Normally when I race, which isn't often, if they keep up or beat me, I'll give em the respect they deserve- rice boy or not. I don't laugh at them or anything. But then this guy got all pissy calling me a ****** and was really defensive, so he lost my respect.
EDIT: I know the car was not a WRX. I'm not sure what it was. I'm sure I'll see him around sometime and I'll take a closer look next time.

Well, I'm the nicest driver you could meet on the road and safest. But if you **** me off, which is difficult, I change. And with the LTDCV, there's not too many cars I can't just "shove out of my way". If someone is endangering my riders and myself, they're going to get a little back. Like today:
The *** that looked like a fat Billy Rat Cyrus was in a Toyota Paseo and driving slow and swerving on the Tullahoma Highway. Finally I get enough of this guy, move the topaz over and floor it. This guy does the same thing. And a car starts coming. I make my decision. My car is faster than his. I getting by him slowly, but not quick enough. With 3 lives in danger, there was only one thing to do. I flipped on my blinker and swung the rear end toward his front end. He decides to go for the other pedal. I continue to move in and pull into the lane.
A dangerous thing to do, but if I hadn't cut him short, he may have killed all 3 of us. For what possible reason? Some people nowadays just don't comprehend what is going on. They just don't realize what they're doing.
I once had a minivan pass on a 4 lane highway-in the turn lane- relining this van at whatever it could do. To bad if someone was trying to turn off, huh?
In short, drive safely, but blocking someone can become neccessary. I've forced several bad drivers to get off the road or at least slow down or stop driving crazy. So has my brother. I bet this guy was driving like a maniac, right? No regard for anyone else? Like he is just learning? He gets on my highways, I'll school him.

He was driving like a maniac. I like to do that to people who weave in and out of traffic like crazy. I catch up to them and block them back using my car and another car going slow. I speed up a little and they get into my lane, thinking they can pass. Then I slow down and let the car next to me take a lead and watch as the guy behind me goes into their lane. I've had one time where the guy went back and forth 5 or 6 times.

my parents have this huge 96 3/4 ton chevy with all heavy duty suspension parts for pulling 5th wheel trailers around.
anyway i love it when people try to get behind me in their little itty bitty cars and try to make me speed up, with a load of bricks in the back. i just laugh at them and slow down.
man some people can just **** me off. i just cannot wait for one of them to run into my rear end. the truck is high enough off of the ground that......well you know what. but i would love to do a powerstand on somebody's hood with that truck.

oh and what gives with a big turbo being better then two small turbos
a bigger turbo will allow you to run a slower turbine speed which should help with how much flow (not boost pressure but flow like cfm) a turbo can run as well as give less heat to the air.
if you get a turbo that is spinning like 100,000 rpms it will still suck in air and prolly will give good boost pressure but it is not really flowing that much air, while a much larger turbo would be better at flowing more air at the same boost and even allow you to run higher boost
or something like that
half asleep guys give me a break

ok here it is:
The Subaru SVX
3.3 liter horizontally opposed 6 cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves blah blah blah
230 horsepower (5400 rpm)
228 lb-ft torque (4400 rpm)
redline: 7000 rpm
0-60: 7.3 seconds
1/4 mile: 15.4@ 92.5
so as you can see it's pretty quick. i've never posted a picture before but here's my first try:

CrazyHawaiian- I think that guy with the broken english was mixing you up with Revlimit.. a lot of people seem to do that for some reason. I don't see any "*****" things about your car. ANy pics of the B4C?
And someone on the Chicago Burbs board said he'd seen a car like the one I described and he thought it was a Mazda and I think it may have been a Mazda. I don't remember very well cause it was dark and I was too pumped to pay attention.

Oh hehehhe i was wondering what I did, but anywayz, sorry if I came off as a *****. I read what I typed and its kinda harsh, so my bad. Good kill.
I'll get some pics of the B4C soon. I wanna get shots from every angle of the exterior and interior as well as the VIN and RPO's before I start modding. Some guys in the History board are trying to catalog all the 92 B4C's so I'll get them the info. Plus it will serve as a good before/after thing. Right now the bad boy is sitting in front of my house with the car cover on ..... waiting

No way!!! hahahha This black hardtop 92 B4C is my dream car. I dont want to abuse it racing/drifting at the track. The possibility of it hitting something makes me want to cringe. No this car is going to get alot of loving. My girlfriend is alread mad because I spend so much time with it (touching, looking) and I've only had it for 4 days. LOL!!
But unfortunately for all the diehard 'stockers' and people who would consider it rare (cuz it is a pretty rare model) the car will NOT stay stock for long. I will be setting it up for grip racing but it won't be raced every weekend or anything. I want it to be my daily driver with the possibility of high speed freeway races. I would also like to enter it into a few car shows. Modding will begin this weekend!! Here's what I have planned for the next few months:

Global West Steering Box Frame Support
K&N Drop-in Filter for the L98

Q-Form Dual 12" Trunk Sub Box
Hunter Motorsport Strut Mounts (Doing this 7/29)

Having the full suspenson installed
Powdercoating the 18" rims Gun Metal Grey
Mounting the tires and rims
Professional Alignment
Completely gutting the interior
Dynamatting everything (behind dash, doors, and trunk)
Doing the full 4th gen Interior install w/ all the accessories
Doing the full sounds install (upgraded wires too)
Custom fiberglass amp rack / sub enclosure cover
So by Sept the first wave of mods will be done. I'll have my interior, suspension, and wheels taken care of. Then I'll start saving up for the LS1/T56 swap I want to do. I found a company in san Diego that sells dropouts from 98 and up Camaro/Firebird/Vettes LS1/T56 under 30k miles with a 6 month unlimited mileage warranty for around $2500 shipped. I should have this in by the end of the year along with a carbon fiber driveshaft. So It should be LS1 powered by the end of this year!! Then I'll be looking to upgrade the rearend to a Ford 9" and the brakes to Baer 13" rotor 4 piston caliper front and 2 piston caliper rear. That should be in somewhere around march 2003. Then I start saving up for the EVO II kit from K1 Styling ($10,000 shipped). By the end of 2003 my project should be near complete. After the EVO II is on I'll need to order the custom rims from Boyd Coddington. 18x9 front and 18x13.5 rears. But It wont stop there!! Still on the list will be a single LS1 turbo kit from Rob @ LS1 Motorsports. I'm aiming for 600 hp / 600 tq @ 9psi. I'm also looking into a rack / pinion conversion from PA racing.
Pretty Crazy Huh?? Guarantee it will be done by the middle of 2004. I'm hoping it will run 10 second 1/4's and hit a top speed around 190 mph. I've been looking for the right car to become my platform for this insane project for over a year. I stumbled on the 92 B4C by accident and I cant wait to begin!!!

Yeah the list never ends!! Nah I'm not rich. I work in the IT/Tech field so the money is good. I'm also young and stupid and instead of investing money I would rather build an insane Camaro. (stock market suxors right now anyway). I dont have a family or anything and my mortgage payments are really low ($750/mo for everything) so I'm pretty lucky. I'm also going to be selling my show truck and 90 rs to fund this project (at least 13k right there).

Crazy Hawaiian, Don't take this the wrong way, but when you've finished your listed mods on this "slightly rare" B4C car, what will be left that will make it a B4C car???
Sounds like anything that makes that car anywhere near a special factory edition Camaro will be replaced or ruined, why not do it to one of the many thousand Normal V-8 Camaros.
When you're done you will no doubt have a seriously badass Camaro, but the fact that it "was" a B4C will mean nothing.
I know I would love to add a B4C to my Third Gen collection someday and hearing that you wanna butcher up one of the more fine examples out there just brought all this out, Sorry just had to put in my .02 It's your car, your money, and that will make 588 B4C's. I'm not a big time purist, just hate to see a low production car get over modified. Like ruining the Yenko of the year 1992.

I mainly work with routing and switching (large capacity backbone circuits, cisco devices, etc). I've also worked with systems as an admin, but I think working with networks is alot more fun.
And I agree with you taturbo, when I'm done there will be little left to designate my Camaro as a B4C aside from the RPO codes. In fact when I'm done there will be little left that designates my Camaro as a Camaro period. But this 92 happens to be the car I found. I see I worded it a little wrong earlier, my dream car was a 1992 Black Camaro Hardtop with a 350 TPI. The fact that I stumbled upon a B4C was pure luck. If anyone out there wants to save a B4C as a classic, and is willing to provide a 1992 Black Hardtop run-of-the-mill Camaro Z28 in the same condition, as well as pay for shipping for both vehicles, thats fine with me. You have to understand how rare it is to find a car of this condition down here, especially black hardtop with the L98. I will be saving every part I replace so the possibility always exists of turning the car back to stock B4C specs (dont know if thats worth anything). Please dont hate me. Sorry!!!

Yeah I thought you meant your dream car was a B4C too. I was gonna say, if you're gonna do all that to it and eventaully swap the engine, why not just buy a black 91/92 RS and start from there. But I see what you're saying now. I can't wait for some pics.

Crazy, Cool...... I was just wondering, and from your comments I had to ask, which led to my long drawn out "Hey why ruin it when it's a special car already" rant.
Too bad you're stuck down there in Paradise. Black 91/92 hardtops are common here, It's the TPI that makes 'em a bit more scarce.

Wow its a 350 TPI now, your still planning to rip it out to put an LS* in its place, who cares if its black now, jeeze with all that work, you'd think you would just start with any other car and simply throw a proper paint job in there, sounds like your ruining a car that shouldnt be, that sucks, boooo @ you
hey crazy hawaiian is there anymore jobs out there for a fellow IT member? I'm currently pursing my CCNP and a Degree. I cant find a job for the life of me. Right now I fix PC's for a shop out here in the southwestern U.S. (Texas, El Paso, Texas). I think that your average mechanic makes more money than I do. I guess this whole school thing is what scares everyone off. BTW I scored a 962 on my CCNA exam. It was mostly frame-relay and subnetting. i got a couple of ISDN problems. I personally think that I got frame-relay down pat. We had an adtran atlas 550 unit to work as the frame-relay cloud. BTW what does your average IT admin make in hawaii?
Hell yeah there are more jobs out there right now. With a CCNA you are right up there with the average Network Support Engineer (Tier 1 Support). Since you are already pursuing your CCNP and a Degree I think you are on your way to be comming a Network Engineer (Tier 2/3 = big bucks). I'd say in the meantime, while you study for the CCNP, you should dump that hardware support job and find something network related. Start locally (papers and stuff) and then if there is nothing in your area check the job websites. I'm actually very lucky to have found a job in Hawaii. Most people have to move to a different city to find networking jobs. So if you got no problem moving then sign up on the job websites (Moster, Dice, Flipdog, Etc) and make yourself known. If you dont wanna move then it'll be harder but I guess look for jobs at the closest big city with tech firms. The pay out in Hawaii is alot lower than average Networking Techs, and for me personally I get paid less than most because I have no certs and no degree (I'm just a straight up computer dork). I'd say for Tier 1 support you should start around 35-40k/yr and for Tier 2/3 around 65-100k/yr. If you want any more info just PM me.
