Almost a Street Race!!!

Okay the other day I pulled into work and notice a blue Integra with 17" wheels, a big wing, and a body kit. I also noticed the TT 906 on the window from the dragstrip. After seeing this, I had to ask the driver what he ran when he was done riding the go-karts (where I work!!!).

After 20 mins I see a guy and his girl walk up to the car and approach them nicely! I asked a little about the car, and even complimented him (holding back on laughter)!!! After a few minutes I asked what he ran at the track. He said 16s, because he had no traction! Then he opened the door and I saw the Tach w/lite, the boost guage, and fuel pressure guage. I suggested Drag Radials like I have, and he asked what I drive. I pointed out my car and he quickly said, "I don't race Mustangs"!!!

After walking away a friend of mine (with a mint 1963 Split Window Vette, all original, w/1598 miles) wanted to race him. We ran after the guy yelling about racing, and the guy looked back, but drove off trying to spin the tires up the hill!

He looked scared, but arent they always!

16's with boost? That's kinda sad

Unless he's one of those guys with the Boost gauge for "when he gets his turbo"

16s. How pathetic, he couldnt' have a turbo. I mean unless he spun 1/2 down the track.

I am not doubting it wasn't turboed, but it is a typical ***** to have the car look fast, prove it is slow, and then get scared away from two races!

Did you hear any turbo? 16s for a turbo is really bad. The turbo Integras at the track were running 14s when I was there.

I never heard one, so I can't back it up, but the guages were there. Now that I think about it he drives an import, and could barely speak English, so he probably doesn't know what boost means!

Thats why I never race imports cause they always have an excuse to why they can't win. But there is really no excuse cause their cars are slow (except Supra, etc..) One time an import guy just said" I don't race V-8's"
