race 1 of 3

ok, to prove a point to some "ricers" my friend an i staged my rs vs. the civic.
i drove the rs this time and he drove the civic.
the results were better than i expected. i knew the camaro would win, but i was unsure of how much. i was surprised though at how many people said the civic was going to win

the camaro is stock lo3 5spd
the civic is in the sig.

the 1st race was from a stop, both of us had traction probs, but i won by 1.5 cars by 60. i even let off a little when i felt it slip.

the 2nd race, i launched perfect, and he spun like a madman, it was like 2.5 cars by 60

the 3rd race was from about a 15 mph roll, and i told him to get on it when he was ready to race(you can tell on that car b/c of the cai when someone gets on it) so he got the jump, but i still took him by about 1.5 cars.

we have planned 2 more races: the next one will be with the civic, and me driving (i don't think that my friend knew how to drive the car like i can-you have to hold it all the way to the rev limiter-7200 rpm) and my friend will drive the rs- i told him to shift about 4500-4700

and the last race i have planned, will be the rs against the z28. the mods for the z are in the sig, WHIICH ONE WILL WIN????? the rs is probably in better tune
thanks for any input

Yeah, I'd say that would be a driver's race. TBI vs. new Civic pretty equal match up, sadly.

Sweet races. I think the Z28 will beat the RS if you race them.

i knew the civic would lose, unless it was from a good roll.
the race took place only b/c i had the rs and my friend was driving the civic, and i wanted to prove a point to some ricers that thought my civic was tight ****.

i really want to race the rs and the z , b/c the motor on the z prolly only has one more good race before the motor gives out.
(it knocks when you first start it)

i bet the z will win, but i hope it'll be close. one kid that i know claimed that his old lb9 z ran like a 16.5 that's rs territory though
but i dont think he knew how to drive, b/c he's got a 1.8t jetta now, with a few mods and the best he's been able to do is 15.8
