Holy cow this post is still going

Just for an update Ive changed my mind (again) I dont want to buy another thirdgen, plus I want a six speed.so the tta is out(not that I wouldnt mind having one) And LT1 is sorta pathetic compared to an LS1, but Im gonna see what I can do about keeping my iroc and getting an ls1. but its still for sale so somebody buy it.

How do you figure it's optimistic Bone stock times were around 5 flat. Now I have a few mild mods plus a converter. It's not hard to figure you can knock half a second off that time. Try riding in a verter'd LS1 and then you'll agree.

Just remember

SS/WS6 means higher insurance and little or no difference in power.

Yes I realize this, but insurance isnt gonna be too bad because it will be a 'pleasure vehicle' and will only be out 6-months of the year, and I dont want a plain z28, I love the SS look(wing/hood/wheels) and I will not make a fake SS. Not that plain z's are bad, but IMO SS's are better.

Dano IMHO
LT1s vs LS1s are even until 70 mph thanks to the low end torque adv of the LT1. Stock LS1s are not famous for their off the line launches... their rev potential over the LT1 which allows them to walk at 70 mph and up.

Now compared to TTA or 87 GN for that matter...they use a torbo charger to get off the line (boosted launch)... when launched off the line correctly---even in stock form---provide some of the awesomest 0-70 launches on the planet. In my experience I haven't seen (stock/lightly moded) LS-1s that can hang on street light derby...not even a 2000 C5. I have never owned an LS1...only driven my buddies 2002 WS6 Collectors T/A. This car feels like it can hang with my TTA (very lightly modded)...but I would have to give the TTA a slight advantage in a street race. I say "very lightly modded" due to the fact that very little money ($150) gets the Turbo in the low to mid 12s.

My next car will be the Collectors Edition T/A in wasp wellow with black accents. :hail:
