it was so funny i was coming home from work. it was about 1:30 a.m. i was at a red light just chillen day dreaming, and i 4th gen (not sure what year) camaro ss pulls next to me. it hads exaust, and some 18's. real clean car. he revs at me. i so i figured what the hell. i killed me so bad it was funny. i knew i was never going to stand a chance but owell. first loss for the bird and won't be the last. those ss are fast as hell. wish i had the money to get one.

**** yea them SS's are fast as hell, They run high 12's to real low 13's. How bad did he beat you by???? I have yet to see an SS in action but I would love 2

The only SS I have seen run was an LT1, and the driver sucked monkey *****. I talked to the driver down in the pit area, and asked him what he had. Had exhaust and a few other bolt-ons. I asked why he only ran a 13.8 and a 13.9, and he started bsing about how his clutch was slipping then it was his tires were bald, just a bunch of bs reasons.

Most SS's will run low 13s, depending upon driver, I'm sure a lot of them run mid 13s on the street as most people don't know how to drive.

i had a run in with that new twin turbo porshe that has like 400 hp... something like that... we were at the track, and i got him off the line and then the next thing i knew.. he was at the other end of the track....... damn fast cars!

i lost to an lt1 ss, it was close from at the line, however, he started edging on my, at around 65 he was about one to two cars lengths infront!! dam horsepower

i ran an 02 WS6 at the track a while ago. he ran a 13.4...not too shabby...

that porshe was hittin 12's!! the announcer guy was like " and i think the firebird is gonna edge him out in the end!!!" lol.. i ran like a 15.8 to his 12.6 .. i talked to him after that, the owner was so pist at the time,, he was like man that was slow!

Yea the LS1 SS's are fast I have only had 2 run ins with them, thankfully it was when I had the '82 Z in my sig and I handled them well (beat them both, but not by much) gotta love 355's . But yea for a stock ride the SS's are hard to beat.
