Hey guys, hows it going? The other day I was heading home and at a light to guys in a sc430 get next to me. I think nothing of it and I take off normal and these guys just floored it without indication.
Now I know I would get spanked by this car as it has 300hp, but I was wondering how fast they run since they're kinda heavy(3840lbs)? And has anyone here raced one?

I drove one. It was my friends. It felt slow it picked up around 3400rpm but it really did not feel fast at all. I dunno what u have but my friends stock 1990 mustang LX 5.0L murdered it. So they are really nothing to write home about.

 

Ya I raced a Lex SC-430. I was also at a light and I floored it. I never really had a chance. The Lexus has a 4.3 liter V-8 duel overhead cam with 300HP@5,600 RPM no joke. It should have a 5 speed automatic tranny. They weight about 3,840 pounds. So they are not light. They go 0-60 in 5.9 seconds. I doubt the one your friend beat in a mustang LX was even trying.

 

Sorry guys, but there is no such car as a Lexus SC430. The only SC's ever built were 400's, and 300's. The fastest Lexus in the line is the GS 400.(I believe that is the car you were describing because your times were right on.) This car is a 4 door, oddly enough! It is a 4.0 liter v8. They do build a 4.3 liter v8, but it resides in the LS models. Nice kill!
