Several of my friends have loud exhast, but one in particular stands out.
One of them has a '79 T/A with the 400 He ripped off all of the exhast, put on headers, and took it to the muffler shop. He told them it came without the mufflers, and just to put on some dual exhast. Then he put some glaspacks on it, and now he drives it everywhere. He's never had a complaint, and never had a ticket. The cops in our town wouldn't know a catalyct converter from their daily dozen doughnuts.
These assclowns need to stop with their ranting and raving. Oh well, at least with this, their eyes are not on the Second Amendment.....
