When its 1 AM and you're bored....

even slow cars are fun to drive. I was driving back from work. I'm heading up this one big street and i see up ahead a civic hatchback and an acura integra (both ricers) side by side and then i hear that whining fart noise as they raced up the street . The acura served him BTW. So they get caught at a red and the acura takes a right but the civic stays there in the left lane. Ironically I myself am in an '89 CRX si (daily beater). I stopped in the lane next to him. He started revving and nudging up to the line. When the light turned green we both took off. I had the quicker reaction and dumped the clutch at a tad under 3K but i was spinning my right tire a little, initially allowing him to get a half-car lead on me. After i regained traction and once it hit 4000 rpm this thing really took off and i passed the civic easily, running it all the way up to 7 grand (bounced off the rev limiter lol), shoved it in second and i had him by 2.5 car lengths by 60 when i let off. Of course he did the r!cer flyby but i had already had my fun.

If you have seen the things I have seen...

A CRX can look good. I saw on some web site things that can be done-body mods-and they looked pretty good...all things considered. They looked really exotic with the flip up doors, lowered, black, tinted...
