t/a vs. audi TT

well, i was in philly, it was real late monday night, about 12 and i pull up to a stoplight with a TT on my left. No one else is around, the light is really short and I give it 1/4 throttle to go because my car wasn't very warm yet. So just as I pull past him leaving the light, I hear his car rev up. He jets up ahead and so I slam the auto shifter back into first and... wump wump wump. ****, it bogs. I keep the pedal down though, and suddenly after maybe a second and a half it caught. It threw my head back and chirped the tires from my roll at almost 30mph. So i turn on my dome light so i can see where to shift (damn light module is bad so my gauges don't light) and i am kinda catching up. He is a good 7 cars up but he is still flying and there is a nice, big, wide turn coming up so i stay on it. We hit the turn, and i had just maxed out my speedo as i started to pull (85 mph mother f-ing speedo). My car was loving the high rpms and cold wind now. Just as the turn leveled out, i was about 3 cars back when he slammed on the brakes. I did too, and just stopped in time for the red light ahead. We nodded to eachother, us both being college students and i proceeded left as he went straight. That was my race, a significant loss due to bog, but a loss nonetheless. So, anyone know what those puppies run? It was definately a little old (he was in college) maybe mid to late 90's(?) and it was NOT stick. Thanks guys, and keep on racing.

Wasn't 2000 the 1st yr. for the TT?

2002 Audi TT (Manual)
Stock Performance:

HP : 225 @ 5900 RPM

Torque: 207 @ 2200 RPM

Motor Trend Test Results:

0-60 (sec): 6.2

1/4 Mile (sec/mph): 14.6/93.4

That is the fastest version of the TT. I "raced" 2 of them around here last year.
