older vette's are fun

ok, so there I was....cruising down mainstreet Roswell after eating at Wendy's. my exhaust is still disconnected from when I ran at the track on Saturday, so I'm out on the prowl just having a goodtime. I cruise down to the south end of the city, following a Ford Ranchero that had been dueled out, had some pretty fat tires on the back, and sounded pretty mean, but he didn't seem to want to play. I turn around and head back towards school and decide to go up to the north side of town, see whats going on up there, then head back to school for study hall.

Just as I pass the school I look up ahead of me and see the taillights of a late 70's/early 80's vette, but there are two cars that are blocking the street between us. Finally one of them turns off and I slowly pull up behind him, just cruising along seeing if he notices me. As I get closer I see that its a red targa top vette with a guy in his late 40's early 50's driving, with his wife/girlfriend in the passenger seat, and some serious meat on the rear. I slide over to the other lane and slowly cruise by him at about 40, glancing over as I pass him to see if he takes notice. I don't hear any change in his engine so I figure he didn't want to play, but I look up ahead as I see a light change to yellow.

By now I'm about 3 lengths ahead of him, slowing down for the light. As I pull up to a complete stop at the light I see the other side change to red, so I know mines about to change back to green. Just as it does he slowly rolls through the light, acting nonchalantly, but I can tell he leaves it in first gear. I figured there was no way he was going to go so I shift into second. About that time I hear his rpm's increase, then hear a pretty good scratch as he shifts into second, so I hammer down and just leave mine in second. He's about 1.5-2 lengths ahead of me now since he rolled through the light, but as my rpm's come up to my shift point I'm at his bumper. I catch a good scratch shifting into 3rd and immediately pull ahead of him, putting about 4-5 cars on him as I shift into 4th. I figured that was enough so I started slowing down to shift lanes and turn around. He does the same and I thought he wanted to go again but he stayed back behind me the entire way back to school. Oh well, it made for a fun night

I AM THE KING OF ROSWELL!!!

Nice kill - I like when people try to jump me and get surprised by just how ready I am, and the torque of an L98. I'll bet he didn't expect you to pull right past him!
