was on my way out to granite city and i ran this firebird on 55 north. i let him punch it first to start us off from about 40-45 mph he was pulling on me until about 60 and then i just started walking past him, by 90 i had several cars on him. The car looked and sounded completly stock. I was happy with the kill though since he's supposed to have more horsepower than me, i guess he just didn't have that much top end because he was pulling on me at first until we got to about 60.

not bad for a wimpy *** L03....

yeah, we pulled up to a light when we got into the city and i asked him if it was a 3.4 or a 3.8 and if he stayed on it the whole time, he said he did. Also asked him if he wanted to go from a dig but he said he didn't want to From the 3.8 guys i know most agree that their 3rd gear is ****, i really wanted to see how i'd do from a dead stop but he wouldn't...

3.8's don't usually have a strong top end. Being they have a small bore and fairly long stroke lends them to lower rpm tq motors. The 305 is pretty much the same combo with 2 extra cylinders. It's a shame gm didn't want to throw the eaton blower from the Bonneville and Gran Prix on the 3.8 camaros and firebirds.
