I think this has came up before, but Kompressor AMG?

We were in the back room the other day at work talking cars and this kid speaks up and says his girlfriend's dad's mercedes would run me into the ground. He goes on to say it's a Kompressor SLK 32 AMG (somethign along those lines)...we looked it up and it's supposedly making 354 hp. Anyone know anything about these cars? I doubt this race will actually happen since I'll be starting the tear down process to drop the new motor in tomorrow, but I'm just curious as to what kind of fight it would be able to put up.

Don't bother, you wouldn't have a problem with that tank of a car, even if it was making 454 horsepower.

i dont think all of them are tanks...

SLK AMG is pretty fast for what it is
0-60 is less than 5 seconds....
1/4 mile should be in the low 13's
3.2L supercharged...
i think people only get like 280-320 or something at the
rear wheels

top speed i have to give it to the merc...
that thing was built for speed...

but 1/4 mile might be a decent race...

He'd definitely have me on the top end without a doubt, but I'd like to get ahold of a yuppie in an $80k sports car just for ****s 'n giggles. It'll defnitely be a waste of gas to run it once my Mustang is back on the road.

You got the wrong car. The SLK is a little thing. The SLK230 is a supercharged 4 cylinder...the 320 is a normally aspirated 6. Either way...AMG is MB's performance division. While it isn't a b*lls to the wall race car...its a quick little car. I have no idea how fast it is...or yours, for that matter...but the worst mistake you can make in racing..or fighting..is to underestimate your opponent.

As of today...

The next time my car sees the road, it'll be running mid to low 11's

I donīt know what you guys can get in the States but there are several engines available for the SLK in the UK from a 2l 4cyl, 2.3l supercharged (aka Kompressor), a 3.2l 6cyl naturally aspirated and also a 3.2l 6cyl Kompressor... aka 320 AMG Kompressor.
