So i was on my way home from work when this bright yellow prelude flies by me, he had to be doing every bit of 90mph. so being the hell raising honda hater that i am, i am determined to destroy his hot shot attitude. i catch up to him and get right behind him, at this point we're sitting on about 95. i get in the right lane beside him, and just as i thought he would, he guns it. needless to say, it got louder but didnt really go much faster. So i hit the gas and hit about 110. about this time ive already got a little more than a car on him, then my slipping transmission decides it wants to downshift into 2nd. (bad idea) So i let up so it will shift back to drive, then gun it again. as this keep happening, it makes me move back and forth on him, so it looked to him like i was just messing with him. to back i didnt have my strobes hooked up, i would have just pulled him over. Just thought i would share with you guys.

 

nice run! sounds like you need to get that tranny fixed soon

 

My tranny acts funny too, when rolling at high speeds, I have to downshift manually and it takes a second to engage.

 

yea i know, its got 184,000 miles on it and im getting ready to get it rebuilt. i was doing like 115 miles and hour and it shifted down to second gear, my tach bottomed out, scared the hell outta me.
