87 RX7 vs. 83 TA
87 RX7 vs. 83 TA
Ha! He thought he might win. Him and his rotary engine. Nope. Nada. Maybe he would've been more of a fight if he had a turbo on it... without the turbo his car makes 143hp. *cry* Being a 300lb lighter car didn't make up for it. Neither did his touted 50/50 weight distro. Poor fool.

the numbers are 146hp also
and 300lbs lighter is wrong also
it is around what 3400lbs for you car?
and these things are rated at around 2625 for the lightest up to about 2750 or so
you do the math
as for the 50/50 weight distro... wait till the turns and you will see what it does for ya

but unless he is running an l69 he doesn't have much room to talk really
kinda like if I beat a honda civic DX with my car
I'm still slow

and the turns vs. straight line I say is a matter of opinion
straight line to me is not as much of a challenge, last too short of a time and just not my cup of tea
I want something that takes the whole package and makes it last longer

Third generation F-bodies usually come out to 3100-3200 lbs... my '84 tipped the scales around 2980 according to the stock weight minus a few items. So 3400 is a pretty high projection (Many L98 cars came out to 3400 and that's about it)

Heh I'm just a nit picker...
Now my '97 is a whole other story... 3300+ lbs for just a stripper 3.8L car... talk about a pig!
(of course at ~220 Hp and no hesitation to run straight to the 6300 RPM rev limiter it helps me endure the 30 MPG
)
