First Kill with new gears

Aftere a rearend swap/build up from 9bolt 2.77 broken posi to a 10bolt 3.73 with an eaton posi i decided to take it out and really see what kind of improvement it made. Let me tell you it made a world of difference. Anyhow to the story, I was driving at 10:30pm after comming back from wendy's, i stoped at a light and a red Eclipse pulled up. The eclipse had a body kit, with a wing, fart can and a single turbo. He starts revving it up and when the light turns green we both went. He kept up pretty good from 0-35mph but by the time i shut it down i was about 1-1 1/2 car lengths at 95mph. What do the single turbo eclipse run anyhow? I didn't seem to have much trouble takin him.

I had a 93 turbo eclipse that ran a 15.2 stock and a 14.0 after mods, I am pretty sure that the third gen eclipses(if thats the year your talking about)run a little better than that.Probably high 14's,if automatic mid 15's.Nice kill.

1G=90-94 14b turbo 90-91 had popup headlights 92-94 didn't.
2G=95-99 T25 turbo Turbo models had "*****" high rise wing stock, featured in the original "Fast and the Furious."
3G=00-present no turbo, crappy v6, overdone styling.
Autos for all years are dogs stock.
What year did you run? Did you see if it was a GS-T or GSX or none of the above? How/why would you twin turbo an inline 4?

I think the year i ran was a 97. Couldn't really tell what model because he had the bodykit that went all the way around the car. The only way i new it was a turbo was because he said i had no chance because it was a turbo, all i did was laugh and then he started revving.

Probably a GS-T, although the fact that he kept up with you off the line with your new gears could mean it was an AWD GSX. How hard did it launch? Those DSMs can get some good launches.

It seemed to launch fairly well, although i didn't get the best launch though so i dont really know. I Had a little too much tire spin.
