fun race with a M3
Today I was coming home from work and I got behind this 98 or older style M3 with some nice rims.. well we just happened to catch the next light and I revved at him a couple of times. Well I didnt know if he wanted to race me or not, but sure enough he takes off pretty quick. I just babied it off the line and punched it at 5 mph and caught right back up, chirped 2nd and pulled about half a car, then he started catchin back up a little until I hit the top of 2nd , then he dropped back almost a car until we let off about 100 but I think he may have been gaining on me toward the end oh and we hit the next light after that but we only raced to about 60 or 70 where he was right next to me maybe 4 feet back when we let off...anyone have a clue what those things run? Also my check engine light was on at the time...think I woulda beat him worse if it wasnt on? Anyways that was probly the closest race Ive had in a while hella fun

Which reminds me last summer a friend and I were cruzin' in his '89 Mustang GT convertible and we were toying with a dude in, what looked to be a 2002 M3 convertible. We couldn't help but laugh as he was getting a facefull of that throaty GT exhaust note. Well at a light he rolls down the window and says "You think that thing is fast?"
"Yes I said. Faster than the dumbass yuppie who spent $100,000 on a girlie car".
Nerd.

Uhh, yea...$100,000 (that's got to be canadian...you can get into an M3 for right around $60k USD) on a "girlie" car that will run with an LS1 in a straight line and corner with a 'vette
