Its a stock 82 Ta, im not sure of the gears...he has the stock 700r4. He will be racing me in my 84 Z28 that ran 8.5 at the local 1/8 mile.....what would his Ta run in the 1/8? its a 305...not HO. How would both of these cars stack against a 86 fiero with a 2.8...4 speed?i know i could beat the fiero...but could he? Thanks

 

the 700R4 wasnt introduced until 83... your friend has some kind of 3speed metric 200 trans. if its the carbed 5.0, hes got 145hp and probably low 17-high 16 sec quarter mile times.

personally i dont think thats enough to take out a V6 Fiero

 

the fiero would take it, a v6 fiero creamed my buddies 92 3.1 bird and i beat his 3.1 bird with my old 84 lg4 (both birds autos), now on the other hand ive had no problem with any fiero in the 84 t/a l69

Sorry i thought his was 700 r4..my bad. I have a 355 i put in. TH350 tranny..with shift kit, with 3.73 rears (tire shredders)

 

You should beat him by four tractor trailer lengths.

And a Fiero will leave your friend in the dust too.
