Blower Cobra, that was fun! Superram car.

Well I changed my oil this morning, that is the break in oil only 350 miles, on a fesh 385 SR motor.

So I havent really pushed the motor much until tonight.

I was cruising down the frontage road of the freeway in a suburb of Phoenix. Saw a Cobra vert about to pull off so I punched the gas to allow him the opportunity him to listen to the Hooker LTs and Mufflex 3.5" exhaust. He responded by aborting his turn off and chasing me down.

He caught up as I slowed down, he met me door to door so I knew he was up for some sction. Well I was gonna let the motor rip or get beat!

On the first roll I put my foot into it and went WOT, the Vigilante 3000RPM converter flashed upto 4000RPM plus and I pulled on him by a few cars. I dont know how many but it was more than a few as I pulled into his lane and hit the brakes to further taunt him, what a rush! We both exited at the next big intersection, he got the jump and pulled a couple cars on me but I very quickly chased him down to pull even and then pickup a car on him! We both slowed to catch a red light, He said "that thing aint stock, right?" I said "well, no, whats that Cobra got?" he said "its a blower car" I thought "yeah bring it, I got you twice from a roll so far!" He pulls off after I flipped him PEACE at the intersection, I guess he thought we were done.

Anyway, it was a mad rush! I have no idea what speeds we were at any point in which we were engaged, had to hit 100mph though. I have no idea where I shifted as I let the trans do the work. Nor do I have any idea what the gauges were reading as I clenched the wheel with both hands to hang on as both eyes concentrated down the road.

The worst part is that I didnt have the Moates software logging but only monitoring, but whatever, at the end of the day I charmed that snake!

We need way more info... what year Cobra, what other mods do both of you have. Its a nice kill but without the real info, it is less impressive. Give us all the details and impress us.

If it was a supercharged 4valve than they make serious power. The way you beat him you must be pushing 400rwhp. When you add a supercharger to the pre-2003 dobras they make some rediculous power. That motor can really breath with forced induction. What are your mods. Sounds like you have a screamer.

The details are slim, he pulled off before I had any chance to really converse with him, we talked through the windows for only a few seconds. He said it was a blower car, I am assuming it was one of the new factory setups with the Eaton SC.
