1973 nova race??

theres a dude that works with me that has a 1973 nova with a 350 engine and 3 speed tranny. his mods are this:
changed to holley 4bbl, edlebrock intake, headers, dual exhaust, high lift cam,msd egnition, 3.42 or 3.73 gears with posi(dont remember what size), B&M shift kit, plus all those little stuff like k&n,breathers, fiberglass hood, ect. but other then that his engine is all stock inside. he claims he runs mid 13s 1/4 and can take my Z. will this 73 nova with these mods run 13s?? how fast is he?? just wanna get info before i race him plus i dont have a clue about these cars only what he tells me.

Well really you dont have enough info there to tell for sure, but with those mods I wouldnt rule out 13's for his car. So if you arent running at least 13's he can take you.

Nova's are pretty light cars, I wouldn't be suprised if he was running what he says.

novas are nothing to mess with. If I was to race one in any of the cars ive owned. camaro firebird montess cutlass it would only be as a joke. Cuz them things are nothing to mess with when theyve got a 350 in em. I got no clue about 305 ones.

A buddy of mine has a 71' Nova w/a 350 added to most of the high performance mods and internals, 4.11 gears, very very rough cam, I mean this thing sounds MEAN!!!
Anyway, he can pull on LS1's like there standing still.
It's gotta run atleast mid if not low 12's.

I'd really overlook this race.DUECE

yeah man my best friend has a 70 Nova.we bought a 350/350 horse crate motor and stuck it down in the engine compartment and backed it up with a nice little turbo 350 tranny and backed that up with a set of 4.10s and slicks and it runs 12.80s all night long so he probably is running what he says he is

OH BTW hes not a ***** so keep that in mind

when a ***** tells you what he runs add about 2 seconds to that time
