Future race: my t5 350 TPI vs. Daytona Shelby Z

Ok here is the story, this kid I went to school with and talk to on a regular basis thinks that his Shelby Z is *** or something. My car still hase to be finished, but I know he wants to race and so do I. Just want to hear as many opinions about this one. He says they have a turbo and are pushing 170+ hp. I flat out told him there is no chance. He plans on getting his back up to running condition also. He also always brags about the 2.2 turbo. Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks

if its stock you will win

but those motors are very impressive. A close friend of mine has a shelby Z runnin 12.7s with the turbo motor. So stock you should take him but alls he has to do is some bolt ons and a tad bit more boost and youll be seein taillights

Agreed

That's one fun little car. I'll be building one pretty soon (got 3 in the yards). Upping the boost would be all it takes, turbo cars can be made fast super easy, so if he knows his shiat, you'll get owned.

no chance, you will win.

I have a couple friends with Turbo Dodge's. Pretty knowleadgable about them too, with lots of mods.. etc.

You can take em.

My friends sister has one and I dont know what they run exactly but she kept up within a car link of my car with my old 350tbi setup. And I was running 14.6's so hers was probably a high 14 second car. Stock for stock though you should win with a 350 tpi. Good Luck.
