Modded 03 Cobra kinda goes down!

Well a buddy of mine just bought a 03 cobra 2 nights ago. You know it didn't take long for him to call me out. The car has headers, full exhaust, smaller pulley, a short throw shifter, cold-air intake, and a chip. Needless to say I was pretty nervous about this race. Our town has a pretty decent little car show/cruise once a year, and it was last night. A bunch of us met up and he was hot to race somebody. Nobody would run him so I said I'd give it a try even though I've still got some bugs to work out. We go out to a four-lane bridge right outside of town. As we lined up, a car appears in my rear view. I'm getting nervous so I'm telling him we gotta go now. He says O.K., so I revved thinking he is gonna go, he doesn't. I said again ready, go. I leave hard on him. I pull out about 4 lengths, and shift. I gain about 1 more length, then the cobra gets a head of steam built up. He gains about 2 lengths back, leaving me with 3 lengths to spare. We ran a little over a quarter and it stayed like that the rest of the way. I think if it was a fair start it would be dangerously close. We were going to run again until a 70 year old geezer was on the cell phone calling us in. We were forced to scatter. I've got a moser 12 bolt with 3:73's in my garage waiting to go in, I better get em in! I've also got some hooker LT's on the way. I'm gonna make sure I get him with a fair start.

You guys got to run them on a track. The '03 Cobra makes 360 rwhp totally stock. Headers, smaller pulley, etc. 400 rwhp easy. I'd love to see the 1/4-mile numbers for both cars.

I haven't had the car very long, so no, it hasn't been to the track yet. When the bugs get worked out, I'll let you know how I fair. Later!
