Spanked an Import!
Ok, this dude at work, Jeff, has this 95 Honda Accord with a Banzai Sun paint job, white BBK wheels, 5 spd, strut tower brace, cold air intake, and a **** muffler. His motor is a single cam 16 valve Honda 4 cyl. So, anyways, he always talks how fast it is which I know it isnt cause I used to work on Hondas. So, I pulled into work last night (3rd shift) and parked right beside him, got out and started to walk in. He was sitting there, with his hood popped and doing something, not sure what but anyways, I get up to the smoking patio, about to talk to my buddy Bryon and he gives it a few quick revs. Of course, Bryon had to make a remark, but I only caught the end of it as i had to put the **** in its place. I went out to my car, fired it up and let the FLowmaster rip, sounding like some muscle. Then I got out and said thats what you call American Muscle, which is something Id never trade for some sushi burner. So, he laughs and says his exhaust sounds better and I just walk away, going to work. However, as I walk inside, he tells my buddy that he can dust my Camaro off and I turned around and told him to bring it to the track tonight and prove it. He then said he wasnt sure if he could make it cause of his "bad clutch" (which BTW is brand new considering he had one of my friends put it in for him). So I tell him to put up of shut up. So he agrees and I tell him 7pm.
Well, anyways, we go to lunch at an old diner (onlt thing open at 4am) and Bryon is in his car and I drive myself and Jeff takes the Accord. Well, I pull in, then Greg in his TPI Camaro, and Jeff jerks his e-brake and slides in, barely missing Gregs car and parked all sideways under a streetlamp. I laughed and told him to save it for the track. So, we go in and eat and he challenges me to race on the long straight stretch with is about a little less than a 1/4 mile long. I tell him fine but Bryon flags us down. So, we get out there, him in suicide lane. I get my RPM's up to 1500 and I give theOK, then Jeff does. When he flags us down, I let it rip and got him by a car length off the line, then my car hit second, and did its little rare "1st-to-2nd chirp" thing and I had like 4 cars on him when he slowly started catching up like an 1/8th mile down the road but after about a 1/4 mile, I still had him by a car and a half. So, we got back to work and he comes up complaining how he wasnt ready yet, with his e-brake on and I asked why did he tell Bryon he was ready then? So, anyways, he then said he was burning rubber through second gear and I told him thats not my problem. Then, hehe, I told him to listen up, cause he might recognize this line. In front of about 10 of our co-workers, I told him "It doesnt mater whether you win by an inch or a mile, winnings winning!" I got quite a few laughs out of that one but he still insists on racing me tonight, so Im gonna do it.
BTW, my rear sway bar links have both been broken for like a week or 2 now and the sway bar just hangs down. Since Im replacing them today, do you think itll help me any? Also, Im gonna try and put a carb Performer intake on my TBI LO3. Will that help any? Thanks!

the sway bar is not going to help you out in a straight line and the intake should help it you can get it to work right. nice kill. i hate it when people make up excusses.
