Me vs. 2000 Trans-Am running NX
I would think I would smoke him but this guy said he was running 500 horsepower and wouldn't pop the hood.......I saw the NX bottle and it really makes me think that it isn't a stocker....he was trying to get me to throw down $100 on it but I said next weekend.....looks stock, sounds stock, has stock tires......but a big ol' bottle of NX....hrm would you guys risk a sleeper or just consider the guy a poser

I guess it is anyones guess if he won't show what he has.
Just like any car on the road he could have anything. I have seen ls1's running small shots and I have seen them with the large nos port injected kits.
even if he is only running a 175hp shot could you even take him?
Why does he wan't 100.00 on it? will he even pay?

A juiced stock LS1 can run low 12's and in some cases high 11's. I geuss it boils down to traction and driver skill if you run similar times. You may just want to take him to the track. This sounds like a highpower shootout.
He very well might get you. If he was on regular street tires, he isnt going to hook good. SO as long as he is on street tires and you can come off the line like a bat out of hell i would chance it. COnsidering you run at least low 12s or high 11s. its har to say becaus i dont know what a car with your set up runs.
Depending on his set up, he can run low 11s to low 12s with stock cam/heads.
So, i read your race with some eclipse and it dosent look like you get good traction. That might have worked against some kids slow eclipse but spinning all over the place probabily wont cut it against a sprayed LS1. But then again he is on street tires to you said, so i dont know.:lala:

He aint no poser cuz Ls1 with nos is quick.
I have seen ls1's with minor mods like full exhaust, suspension work, lid and slicks run 10's with nitrous. Like a 200 shot or something like that. he probly will run high 11's at best on those tires with 100-150 shot. My guess, not sure but going on what i have seen. Can you find out what shot he is running? That could help. hope he wasnt saying he was running 500 hp shot!
That could get ugly.
