Do I have a chance??

my friend has a 98 3.8 stang, auto....

and im gonna be getting a 91 firebird 3.1 auto soon...

do i have a chance against him or no?

he has an "eBay CAI" and went from the stock 8" wide tires to 7" wide tires. with the cheap-o Kumho Ecsta 711's that are pretty bald.

he said his 0-60 was 9.5 seconds...

and i know Ford Autos are dogs...the 'specs' on the engine are 150hp and 205 torque...

guess ill have to race him and see...i have to get the 'ok' from dad to trade my truck for it though.

if i could just 'hang' with him i'd be happy though lol

Those specs are for the newer mustang (99-present) Im pretty sure. The 98 only has 150 horsepower and they are dogs. My buddy has a 93 cavalier with 2.2, He raced a guy i work with that has a mustang with a V6 and the cavalier ran all over that thing. He was puttin 2-3 cars on him. I think you've got this one easy

Race him only if your car is in decent running shape - hate to win only to find you jacked your own car up in the process. Sure, it's better then losing and breaking your car, but not by much.
