Not that i condone street racing or anything.....

After some personal issues i layed back on the racign and have been keeping myself clean waxing a import one and awhile but nothing to big that could get way out of hand on public roads

Until tonight, this teal rs rolls up next to me and is lookign over, my buddys with me and goes oh dude its got wires, yep teal 91 rs with 19" gold wire wheels and gold 4th gen exhasut tips. SO he rolls his window down and this little hispanic guy goes ya you wont touch my big block and throws a rev. Typical midas exhasut sound and stock sounding 305 tbi. This could get intereresting to seee how my mods match up to a stock one. SO the light goes and with just a tad bit of spin i blow outta there way out ontop of him so i get way ahead of him liek 3 bus lengths and back off from about 80 down to 45 so then outta the corner of my eye i see him tearing up on the side of me at about 65 or 70, so i go holy crap and jump on it again he gets within maybe a car length ahead before i am right next to him again and then proceed to pull away from him again bounce it off about 90 mph and about a bus length on him before we had to slow up for the light and traffic ahead. so i turn off and he follws me home which is about a half mile form where we were and started talkign and he goes damn dude how'd a small block beat my big block so i told him to pop the hood, bone stock 305 tbi without even a open element or k+n all stock induction, i go dude thats a small block not a big block, no no its a big block, he looks under my hood and goes no you gotta big block too i sadi no dude thats a small block big blocks are liek 454,455,502's oh i thought small blocks were v6's

Good run though pretty cool guy aside form teh gold wires

That was pretty harsh and uncalled for. Not everybody in the world knows the difference between different make engines, let alone between big block and small block Chevys. Hell, plenty of people here probably don't know the difference between LG4s, L03s, L69s and the like by sight. Misinformed: yes. Uneducated: who knows. A moron: brazing TGO name-calling policy; he just doesn't happen to be a member here.

ah dont take back the statement. Cause if u dont know unless u wanna be a dick (like me) u shouldn't say. I can understand not knowing the difference between a big block and a small block, cause they are engine sizes, And i will be honest what is a L69 guessing 350 w/ tb. Never heard of it. Unless ur talking LB9, tpi305.

But not knowing the diff between a four banger, v6, i6 and a 8 cylinder i find to be somewhat unexcusable if u own a sports car.
No matter how under powered.

Well i gave him my number and the coloradof-body info and told him to call me and i could help him out with him, seemed to be fairly young and not into the car deal yet but you gotta start somewhere. I am going to give him advice to get rid of the gold wires but other than that the car was super clean almost liek mine was when i got it stock.

Mcdamit mines a 91 rs lo3 with everything in my sig and a jet chip, hoping to get headers and a custom chip done this winter, we figure its around 220 or so maybe but the dyno will tell.

General, it is very rare that i race on the street, i'm only 19 but i see "kids" everyday that will race anything anywhere and cut through rush hour traffic to get a win. in my opinion thats bs. There is a time and place for races and i rarely have a good open road to get into little competions, i get alot of guys jsut tellign me i'm afraid to race cause the cars slow, not the case i'd jsut rather do it at teh strip where its controlled and you get a slip sayign your fast. I used to be one of those "kids" that would race anythign anytime and unfortunately it took me losing my best friend in a racing accident to realize my stupidity. I had a guy in a beretta try to race me with 2 little kids in the back seat one time, and you better believe i told him what was wrong with him

I'm sure that I will get reprimanded for this, but what the hell is the problem with calling someone like that a moron? Its true. He isnt a member, it isnt a direct insult at someone. Can anyone explain it to me? I read tons of threads all the time on here with a lot worse, and nothing is said. Do the mods just pick and choose when they want to enforce the rules? Anyone care to explain it?

Name calling is against the TGO rules no matter how innocent or appropriate the situation may call for it. We can't read all of the posts and we will comment on the ones we see. I would like to agree with you on this one but the admins frown upon it.

What times do you run Irocbuilder? There is a very clean looking red IROC for sale on Colfax and somewhere between Kipling and Wadsworth on the North side of Colfax if you are interested.

Have yet to race it yet as i went for appearance first before motor work but now i'm getting some go fast stuff doen and want to try to get as much power out of the 305 as i can before i build up my 406. Gonna have it dynoed here in the next few months after i do my headers so i can get my chip burned adn that stuff hopign to get it out to bandimere in teh spring.

I might have to take a look at that iroc, although i am not lookign for another thirdgen right now seeing as i have mine sittin gin the driveway and no room for another till i get a nice big garage, i do have a few friends looking for camaros, thanks for teh heads up.

Sure thing. Where are you going to get dynoed at? I go to DynoPro because that is where my mechanic does tuning at. www.dynopro.com They never put me on the list though.

Anyway, Bandimere is in Morrison (kind of by Golden) not in Colorado Springs. Wouldn't want you to drive an hour and a half south to make that mistake. PFI is down in the Springs if you want to go there, but Bandimere is better. Good luck. Do you have any idea on what kind of times you'll be running?

We really have no idea, my buddies stang has done a best of 15.4 and i have taken him by a few car lengths so maybe mid 14's but we wont know till we run it. We use speed innovators out here in aurora they run a mustang dyno and are the ones that are going to be tuning it and doing my chips, plus they're a few miles from the house and do awesome work.

Been to bandimere a ton for my dads cars and stuff and ahve run my old firebird there a few times i actually like pmi in pueblo better, when i ran my firebird i spun through second at bandimere and just could never get it to hook up and ended up doing extremely bad up at bandimere. 20.5 spinnign through second plus it was 115 degrees on the track and the fiebird didnt liek heat. Always been able to hook up at pmi though, track was in terrible shape last time i was there but its been a few years.

My buddy's house actually overlooks bandimere, how sweet is that so for super chevy and stuff liek that i can jsut stay at his place instead of coming all the way back down to aurora every night.

You won't get reprimanded, but you will be reminded that if you have a problem with a specific mod or rule, you can post in the "Problems / Help / Suggestions / Comments forum, or PM the mod in question instead of starting an irrelevant semantics argument in a thread. Like Shifty said, we're not all reading every single thread on here as soon as they're posted. If you, or anyone, feels that someone has sidestepped the rules in some way and something should be done, the "Report This Post" link is at your disposal next to every post on this website.
Hopefully everyone here reads the stickys at the top of each forum, but I know it isn't always the case. Please take a couple minutes to read them, and understand that the Theoretical and Street Racing forum is under extreme scrutiny. I may or may not agree with the opinions someone may have about someone else if names are being handed out to other people, even if they aren't members here (they may very well read this forum, get pissed, become a member, and start more trouble), but I, as well as any other mods here, will be enforcing the rules here regardless.
