305 f-formula vs cadillac

Some getto guy pulled up next to me and knew a girl that was with me. He showed us his dvd player in his car and a bunch of getto stuff. Then we raced. I beat him pretty bad. But the funny part was there was a cop behind us. The getto guy ran a stop light and i stoped. The cop followed me for a second then went around me. The getto guy tried to run but he made a wrong turn and was stopped by a train. So he got beat and a ticket. I totaled my bird a week ago. Cracked my cheek bone. But i found a 88 formula 350 blue that i am going to get. I over corrected in my car a hit a pole. There is more to it than that but i wanted to make it short.

So...you couldnt handle your 16-sec, 305 powered Firebird...lost it and hit a pole resulting in totaling your car. Now youre getting a 350 TPI Formula that will be able to run circles around your old Firebird? Just be careful, dont want to be a moron and wreck this one too. That would be "ghetto", LOL. Dork

What kind of Caddy. Any Northstar Caddy would easily walk you, even with DVD players and such...

Just make sure you dont total the new car! They stopped making thirdgens, and if you wreck all of them, there will be none left! LOL!

Was it one of those 4 cylinder Cadddys? That would be my guess. Good luck with the L98 bird.

It wasn't a v8 caddy. My uncle has an older one with a v8 and it is not that fast. My bird was a mid 15 second car. I had a computer chip and and air breather and a high flow cat and full exhaust. I never thaught caddys were fast. I just tha they were just for luxury. I guess you learn something evryday. . And yes i could handle my 16 second firebird. My tires were bald and i slide. I wasnt going fast And the roads where wet. I wasnt being stupid or nothing. But i definatly plan on being very careful in the 350. My insurace still hasnt called me so ill have to wait this weekend to get it.

Mid 15s is pushing it and without a timeslip I d say not a chance. Id say low 16s, might crack a high 15 (might), the TBIs sucked!

As for Caddys any Northstar equipped Cadillac is fast. I know the Devilles are easy mid 15 second cars and the STSs I believe were low 15s to high 14s! Might have to watch those even with the 350!

Not to mention being able to go 100,000 miles before a tune up. Like a Honda.

which is it was your "bird" a 15 or 16 sec car ??

and you were racing on bald tires??
wow ....that sure is smart

just what you need is another car with a v8 i was thinking maybe a cavalier or escort would be more along the lines of something you need

My car was a mid 15 second car. And did i say anthing about racing when i wrecked. I wasnt racing. When i said it 16 second thing i was being a smart *** to that comment about me not being able to handle my car. Do you know me? Then how do you know if i coulld handle it or not. Accedents happen. It was wet and i was on a big curve, i started to slide and over corrected. I have never raced anybody in the rain. So before you try do be a dick, read.

the way you worded it was confusing

and knowing you got bald tires, and driving in the rain, around the turn, you obviously went too fast. you should have been going alot slower that what you must have been.

loss of traction on turns is because of the G forces you are trying to pull are too much for the car/tires to sustain. thus you spin out or slide.

I've spun out doing near the speed limit before, it was a bunch of crap. I thought something was wrong with my car. I was doing about 70 around a curve on the highway and did a 270* and managed to not hit a single thing. It was because of the de-icer crap they sprayed on the roads though. That stuff is way worse than just water, it's like ice itself.

I was going under the speed limit and the car started to slide on me. Its not a matter of the speed limit and such, its a matter of knowing the conditons and what your driving. In my case I was able to handle the car, didnt crash and drove home fine...

The fact someone wrecks (these situations) usually means they cant handle the car in the conditions, whether a stock Civic on dry pavement, or a Firebird with bald tires in the rain... Thats my take on it!

Ice changes stuff a lot more than rain. Rain is pretty consistent, ice you never know whats gonna happen!

Good driving alone won't prevent a wreck.

Rain + 17x9's + a cautious 30 in a 55 =

However, even when being cautious good driving can keep you alive when you know you are going to hit head on and instead glid the car in sideways.

Some accidents are unavoidable and even the best drivers get into them. Just take care of the new bird or i'll take it from ya

first off name calling is strictly against TGO board rules ....

secondly you need to start breaking up your posts better the one i quoted answered about 4 different questions all ran together ..

third spellcheck would help out alot in your other posts..

And last but not least you want to explain why you were racing on bald tires ??
That has to be about the smartest thing ive heard in a while ....LOL....
Now quit trying to be high and mighty because you beat a caddy which noone here really knows if you did or not and relax a little its just the internet ...

How many times to i got to say, i wasnt racing!!!!! Your not very good at paying attention.

And im kinda a teenager but kinda not.
Im 18. And why do you have to post crappy stuff like that too. ljnowell-
Was it neccessary?

And i could care less about beating a caddy. I thought it was funny, i wasnt bragging about beating a hunk of junk caddy.
Did i say something in my original post and hurt your feelings?... or something? Cuz you didnt have to be a jerk.

I posted that because of your behavior. Calling people names does not get you any respect from me, or any other member. Acting like a juvenile makes people post those kinds of things. Dont act that way and people wont post that way.

Also calling a caddy a peice of junk, lol... you drive a third gen therefore have no real right to talk. I own a Mustang, so I wont go calling them junk either!

I'm glad you are independant enough to not need anyones respect. However, respect is an important thing. While you may not want anyone elses respect, people do expect a little bit of respect from you, as in not calling names.

Well, then knowone had to be a jerk. Is being a jerk respect?
I wouldnt of called him a name, if he wasnt being a jerk. The whole thing was just a misunderstanding. but still even if someone misuderstands they shouldnt have to be mean about it. If ya dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all, that easy.

ok i read this to the part with the pic of the red camaro. just recently i also slid out over corrected it and cliped a pole. mostly my passanger mirror hit it and go dented and my passanger door go dented a little where the mirror is. i pulled out the most part of the dent with a plunger. the sad thing is i dont remeber hitting anything just my friends telling me about it and me looking at it. i dont even know where the pole was. im just glad i didnt hit it head on or completly sideways and do some real damange. yeah i had good tires on. it was about 1:30am and i guess the streets where a little icy. a friend in the car told me i did a nuetral drop and it died out, but i doubt that cause i would never do a nutreal drop maybe a brake torque, then he said i punched it and was going fast then tryed taking some turns and got sideways and over corrected it and went towards a telephone pole and hit it then took of and he mumbled, what are you trying to do kill us, acuse i remember him saying that and my remark was yes, but being sarcastic. but i can fix my car with a new paint job whie it already needed, new mirror gasket and pop out a couple little more dings. i plan on keeping my car and getting nitrous in the spring then blow the motor and have a performanec shop build me a 350 for like $2,500 and then drop it in and go. o yeah and hook my nitrous up to it. like a 100hp shot i was thinking.

You don't remember you wrecking your own car? Were you drunk? I wouldn't be surprised.

i never said i was driving under he influance. who knows i might have that disease that i foget things sometimes. it has happened to me before like during a fight i dont remember fighting but just the beging when the kid showed up then the ending when i walked away and he was bleeding all over. i wasnt drunk there. i just dont remember i was tired it was late and i was trying to get home quick so i could go to sleep. never said i was drinking but i was snow boading ust before that for a couple hours. i dont know maybe it was the shock that i just messed up my baby and couldnt handle it. cause i remember everything from leaving the neiborhood where the hills where to walking to my car. but in between that is lost. i dont remember getting to the exit of the neiborhood or the begining of it to go through it. just getting done snowboarding driving away then leaving the neiborhood thinking wtf just happened.

and yes dui is lame. i hate when people do that i wont even let friends drive drunk or drive **** burners for that matter.

You just entered this one. I dont plead the fifth, I plead life. As in, I have one, and dont waste my time waiting for punk teenage ric#r wannabes to post flames for me on the net. Grow up and get lost.

LOL, you're just as lost in life as this other clown it sounds like. I was just messing with you, apparently you've got a serious lack of sense of humor. If I thought everything someone said was a direct insult, I'd get up and leave too.

What am I trying to be now?

I sure am glad that it took a teenage kid to tell me that I am lost in life.

I'll be sure to tell that to my wife, kids, and boss.

HEY! This argurment just went off-topic. We are supposed to be dealing with the dude who blacks out at random times. While driving, while fighting.....Sounds like you should visit a doctor asap.....

You did NOT try and impress me by saying you had a boss. LOL

I'm not a teenager by the way. Hey look at that, I did say lost in life. I meant to say that you have a serious lack of social skills, not to mention acting like a little kid, like our spotlight member here.
